- 6 pork chops
- flour
- 1clove garlic, chopped
- 1tsp salt
- 1/4tsp pepper
- 1tbsp chopped parsley
- 2tbsp flour
- 6 medium potatoes, sliced thin
- 2 medium onions,sliced
- 2cups hot milk
- 1 1/2tsp salt
- 1tsp dry mustard
PROCEDURE:
Heat oven to 350F (175C).
Cut fat from chops and grease hot skillet with a piece
of it. Roll chops in flour and brown in skillet along with
garlic. Seasons with 1tsp (5ml) salt and pepper. Combine
parsley and 2tbsp (30ml) flour
Butter a 2-qt(2.5-L) casserole and put 3 of chops in it
in a single layer.Sprinkle with half of hour-parsley mixture
and top with half of potato and onion slices. Repeat layers.
Mix milk,1 1/2 tsp (7ml) salt and mustard.Pour over all.
Cover tightly and bake 1 1/2 hours. Remove cover last
30 minutes to brown.
